❓I Don't Know What I Need Reset

I feel nothing

✅ Something to try

Temperature Reset ~2 mins

  • Find something warm — a mug, your own hands pressed together — or something cold — a glass of water, an ice cube.
  • Hold it.
  • Notice the sensation without judging it. Warm or cool. Pressure or weight. Sharp or soft.
  • Stay with it for 2 minutes.

You're not trying to feel a lot. Just something. That's the whole exercise.

Why:

When emotions are muted, trying to access them directly usually doesn't work — and trying harder makes the numbness worse. Physical sensation is a side door. You're not trying to feel your feelings. You're just reminding the system that it can still register input. That's enough for right now.

You don't need clarity to begin. You just need to begin.

✅ Three Truths

  1. Feeling nothing is not the same as having nothing left. It's often what protection looks like from the inside.
  2. The system shuts down when the load has been high and the release has been low for too long. That's information, not a verdict.
  3. You don't have to force feeling. You just have to stay close enough that it can find its way back.
