  • Short inhale through your nose.
  • Strong exhale through your mouth — like you're blowing out a candle.
  • Repeat 6 times.

Don't try to slow down first. Just do the exhale. The slowing down follows.

Why:

The fastest way to interrupt a panic loop is a sharp, forceful exhale. It signals the nervous system that the threat has passed — more effectively than a slow breath, which most people can't access when they're panicking anyway.

You don't need clarity to begin. You just need to begin.
