😴 Sleep Reset

Someone else is affecting my sleep

✅ Something to try

Draw the boundary ~2 mins.

Close your eyes.

Imagine a boundary around yourself — your body, your side of the bed, your space. It can be anything: a circle of light, a warm bubble, a simple line.

Inside the boundary: just you. Your breath. Your body. Your rest. Outside the boundary: everything else. The noise, the tension, the unresolved thing. It's out there. It can stay out there tonight.

Say quietly: "That is theirs. This is mine. Tonight I'm staying here."

Why:

When someone else's energy, noise, or emotional weight is in the room — literally or figuratively — it's hard to find where they end and you begin. This creates a clear internal boundary between their experience and yours for tonight.

You've carried enough today. Now it's time to rest.

✅ Three Truths

  1. Someone else affecting your sleep doesn't mean you've lost all control over it. You still have more influence over your own rest than it feels like right now.
  2. You cannot solve the relationship, the conflict, or the situation tonight. But you can choose where your attention goes for the next few hours.
  3. Your sleep is not a luxury that gets sacrificed whenever someone else needs something. It's a need — and it matters.
